Vertical Turbine Pumps

Maxflow Vertical turbine Pumps are of rugged, heavy duty construction, designed to successfully operate towards meeting specific user conditions. These are vertical axis centrifugal pumps comprising of required number of stages which accommodate rotating impellers and stationary bowl assembly. Shafts and pump unit is suspended by the column pipe containing a system of vertical shafting for transmitting power. A typical vertical tubine pump consists of mainly bowl assembly, column assembly and head assembly. Head assembly can be of surface discharge or an under ground discharge head design.

Driver is mounted on the discharge head assembly which transmits power to head shaft. It can be of hollow shaft or solid shaft design and varying drives from direct drive to pulley head or gear drive arrangement.

Open line shafts allow the product to lubricate the shaft bearings. Enclosed line shafts can provide external water flush, oil or grease bearing lubricaion. Threaded or flanged column or line shaft assemblies are also available.
