Description
We bring forth high-end Step Down Transformer, made in air cooled or oil cooled construction, which is suitable for indoor use, in a maximum ambient temperature of 45oC. Suitable for continuous ratings, our 3 Phase Step Down Transformers are appreciated for their better performance and cost effectiveness.

SOME TECHNICAL DETAILS :

Voltages
Generally these transformers are made for phase voltage between 24 volts and 660 volts at a frequency of 50Hz. If desired, transformers for voltages beyond this range and got other frequencies could also be made.

Tappings
Extra off-loas taps can be provided, if so desired. The capacity of the transformer at the tap will be proportiontely low corresponding to the tap voltage. The declared capacity will hold good only for the highest voltages on both primary and secondary, unless the taps are specified as full capacity taps.

Cooling
These transformers are made in Air Cooled / Oil Cooled construction, suitable for indoor use in a maximum ambient temperature of 45 C.

Capacities
These transformers are available in 1-From 50 VA to 50 KVA & 3-From 500 VA to 300KVA.

Ratings Coils Insulation
The transformers detailed above are suitable for continuous ratings.
All the coils of the above are stated transformers are copper wound.
Generally these transformers are made with Class 'E' insulation. But if required these transformers can be made with Class B‚F,H or C.

Impregnation Core (lamination)
The coils are Vacum Impregnated with high quality stoving varnish.
E & I lamination and strips made of CRGO or CRNO Grade are used, depending upon the desing of the transformers.

Terminals
Terminal Blocks or Brass Bolts of suitable capacity are provided on a bakelite board on the top of the transformers. The tap voltages are marked or engraved against their respecctive terminals. Primary & Secondary terminals, in Air Cooled transformers with M. S. Casings are assesible by opening the top cover of the casings. In Oil Cooled transformers with
M.S. Tanks, these terminals are brought out generally on two opposite sides, either from side of the tank or from top of the tank.

ROUTINE TESTS :

Dielectric Test
At 2.5 KV AC for 1 minute, is conducted between Primary & Earth. between Primary & Secondary and between Secondary & Earth.

Insulation Test
Is conducted, with 500 VDC Meggar, between Primary & Ground, between Primary & Secondary and between Secondary & Ground.

Noload Current
Is less than 5 or 7.5% depending upon VA rating of the transformer.

Voltage Regulation
Is less than 5%

Physical Inspection
Each transformer is physically inspected prior to despatch.
