Description
In Step-Up Transformer secondary voltage is more than primary voltage conversely, Step Down Transformer is designed to do just the opposite is called a Step-Down Transformer. These transformers are evidenced by the high turn count of the primary winding and the low turn count of the secondary. In a Step Down Transformer the secondary voltage is less than the primary voltage whereas in the Step-Up Transformer the primary voltage is greater than secondary voltage. The larger-gauge wire used in the secondary winding is necessary due to the increase in current. These are used for machinery functioning and also works as per the available voltage current.
