Sponge iron

The result is a spongy mass with a composition of incandescent wrought iron and slag. The final product is primarily used in the making of steel as this is a complete alternative for scrap. The primary raw materials used in the manufacture of sponge iron are non-coking coal, iron ore and dolomite. Only finest quality coal is used in the manufacturing of sponge iron.
