Description
Carbide : Carbides used in BEW centres are purchased from ISO 9001 certified manufacturer in India. This carbides are made by sinter hipping process to ensure good mechanical and physical properties. These carbides have high density (14. 63 gm/cc), high hardness (1740 VPN) and extreme carbide strength (412.4 in1000 PSI) carbides are free from pores, voids, grain size variation, non- homo-gennuity (cobalt lake formation) due to which these carbides are resistant to breakage and have high wear resistance and increased toughness.
Heat Treatment : BEW centres are heat treated in most modern electrical salt bath furnaces to obtain distortion free and uniform all round hardness.
Inspection : Centres passes through rigid inspection tests. Lengths, morse tapers, 60 degree angles are checked very carefully. Morse taper gauges, sine bars, angle protectors, profile projector are used to ensure highest accuracy and quality. As per IS specification runout accuracy are within 5 microns. Special centres within 2 microns run out are also made on order.
