Standards
The transformers are designed and tested to comply with National & International standards, BIS: 2026/IEC: 76/BS:171, etc.
Special Features
- Large Tap Range for Distri-bution Transformers, to cater to wide voltage fluctuation in system - either +/- 7.5 or +5% to -10%. Other tap ranges as per customer requirement.
- Use of prime grade CRGO Material for reduced No Load Loss & No Load Current.
- Step Lap and mitred V - Notch construction for reduced No Load Loss, No Load Current and Noise Level.
- Yoke banding instead of bolting to reduce flux fringing and local heating. Hence reduced noise level and no load current.
- Use of high conductivity (99.99% pure) soft drawn copper for windings. Imported paper for lapping of copper.
- Strategically placed oil ducts in core and directed oil flow between core stacks for better cooling.
- Use of pre - compressed press - board material for block, spacers, ducts strips, barriers
- Lead supports, etc.
- Directed oil flow in disc and layer windings for better thermal control.
- Strategic winding arrangement (taps and body) with respect to LV for reduced short circuit stresses.
- Use of FEM Packages for analysis of electrical & mechanical stresses in windings and tank body.
- Wide range of transformers subjected to type tests including full scale dynamic ability for short circuit.
- Modular construction and easy interchangeability of accessories, bushings to cable box and vice-versa.
- Better surface finish and paint system. Epoxy paint for adverse climatic conditions.
