Mosaics Skirtings

Termed as one of the "DELICACIES", of all "STONE PREPARATIONS", Mosaics are rapidly becoming very popular all over. Their variability,creativity and usability of several beautiful natural stones together in one single pattern / design, has tempted Architects to widen their usage. Now Mosaics - Medallions are being used from thin Skirtings to vast open-to-sky floorings - Pillars, Scenes on walls, Table tops, Carpets, Buttons in floorings, Risers, Pools, Baths and where not. Precision shaping, controlled thickness and appropriate stone selection gives Mosaics an out of this world effect.
Mosaics are made from Quartzites, Slates, Limestones, Sandstones individually or with selected combinations. Even Granites and Marbles are co-opted at times. The usual finishes sought in Mosaics are Natural, Tumbled, Honed or Polished with a back-up to hold stones in pattern.

TUMBLED : Giving an aging to the stone or tile to give an antique look without loosing its strength and other properties. Not all Natural stones can be subjected to Tumbling - but most of them can be given this finish under CONTROLLED CONDITIONS.
