Manufacturing Execution System

Manufacturing Execution System is 'a shop floor control system' that includes planning, production data capturing, reporting and other tasks. Using real time data , it guides, initiates, responds to and reports plant activities as they occur. The system comprises of:

• Manufacturing Monitor, an electronic device that captures & transmits real time production data of an assembly line. It is placed at the last process of the assembly line & connected to the proximity sensor / PLC output / pulse output. It is loaded with configuration data of a particular line and captures production, fault and manpower data, transmitting it to the server through RF modem wirelessly.
• Data Logger, a server application to log the captured data that connects Manufacturing Monitors in a plant to the central computer wirelessly. Data Logger requests all Manufacturing Monitors in a cyclic fashion for stored production data and logs it in a central database It frequently checks for any request; e.g. plan entry, configuration; submitted by the user and transmits it to the concerned Manufacturing Monitor.
• Web Interface, to view the production data, send production plan, generate graphical reports, perform OEE analysis & view current status of each line. This application enables creation & modification of existing user accounts, configuration of new line, editing of production data, and migration of production data to ERP.
