Magnesium Carbonate

Magnesium Carbonate is a very light, odourless, tasteless, white amorphous fine powder that occurs in nature as mineral. Several hydrated and basics forms of magnesium carbonate also exist as minerals. It is often referred as chalk. Basically magnesium carbonate is obtained by mining the mineral magnesite. Magnesium carbonate can also be obtained by exposing a slurry of magnesium hydroxide to carbon dioxide under pressure (3.5 atm to 5 atm) below 50 °C, which gives soluble magnesium bicarbonate, Light in weight, magnesium carbonate contains minimum moisture and no dust particles.
