Jayphyte-Phytase

Need for phytase : availability of phosphorus in the feed is of extreme importance in poultry nutrition. Phosphorus is available in plant sources e. G. Corn and soybean meal to the extent of 30-40 percent, however it is in the insoluble form , phytic acid complex with proteins. Enzyme phytase is helpful in hydrolyzing the phytate molecule and releasing the inorganic phosphorus in the form which can be utilized by the animal for meeting it's nutritional requirement. Poultry birds can not produce phytase in sufficient amounts and hence the addition of phytsae to the feed helps increase the productivity of poultry birds. It also eliminates the need for adding inorganic phosphorous in the form of dcr. Addition of phytase has proven to reduce the excretion of phosphorus in manure, thereby helping control environmental pollution.
