Hollow and Solid Concrete Blocks

The manufacturing of high quality concrete paver blocks involves combining Portland cement, coarse and fine aggregates, and sufficient water to produce zero-slump concrete. Admixtures can be added to increase properties such as strength and density, and reduce the likelihood of efflorescence and water absorption.

The concrete is then molded in Besser machines under vibration and extreme pressure. Usually, the concrete paver blocks are constructed with spacer bars to ensure uniform, properly spaced joints and the edges are beveled to prevent chipping.

The basic steps in the manufacture of concrete paver blocks are:
The raw materials are mixed in required proportion in cement mixers and ball mills.
The mixture is then filled into hoppers of the concrete paver block machine.
The blocks are cast with vibration and compaction as per design.
They are dispatched after adequate curing.
