Fennel Seeds

Dried fennel seed is an aromatic, anise-flavored spice; they are brown or green in colour when fresh, and slowly turn a dull grey as the seed ages. Fennel is used as a condiment and as culinary spice for meat dishes, fishes and seafood, pickles, bread giving a special flavor.

Fennel is highly effective at relieving and preventing bloating, gas, indigestion and stomachaches. Fennel Seeds (Sauf) are very effective for digestive problems. In India, these are routinely chewed upon after meals to aid in digestion after a rich meal while acting as a herbal mouth freshener. These seeds are very rich in minerals including magnesium.
