Description
The bit is the tool cutting the rock, and no hammer or rig drilling is better than the bit it uses. The down-the-hole bit is subject to severe stress from the striking piston as well as from the abrasive cuttings passing the bit at high velocity. When selecting the right bit for optimum performance you have to balance penetration against bit life. On occasion you can successfully sacrifice bit life for penetration. In such cases remember the rule of thumb that states that a 10% increase in penetration covers at least a 20% loss in bit life. The bits are available in various configurations, shapes and designs to ensure maximum penetration rates, good flushing and long service life; and in sizes 90 mm (3 1/2 in) to 445 mm (17 1/2 in). Same as top hammer button bits, DTH button bits have different face design, different button shapes, different flushing holes design, different hole openers designs. In Sinodrills, whatever flat face, convex face, concave face, drop center face, spherical buttons, ballistic buttons, spike buttons, conical buttons, any design is available according to customers request. The diameter is from 60mm to 700mm. The shanks can be Cop series, like cop32, cop34, cop44, cop54, cop64, DHD series, like DHD3.5, DHD350, DHD340, DHD360, QL series, like QL40, QL60, SD series, SD4, SD5, SD6, SD8, and so on. All DTH drill button bits are designed together to work in perfect unison, long service life and low costs. They are all hot pressed and excellent heat treatment, which guarantee our quality are always consistent and reliable. Bits can come in different types: Flat-faced, Convex, Concave, drop enter, ballistic bits and dome bits. Flat-faced bits are used in heavy-duty drilling applications where the drilling is deep. As described, the face of the bit is flat as it drills. Applications: Hard and abrasive formations, all round. Typical formations: Granite, hard limestone, basalt. Convex bit is used in applications where the rock is somewhat worn away and drills with two buttons as opposed to one.
Applications: Soft to medium hard rock. Non abrasive formations. High penetration rate. Typical formations: Limestone, hard limestone, shale. It is practiced on medium to hard rock applications and drills a straight hole. Applications: Medium hard to hard formations. Less abrasive, fractured formations. Excellent control over hole deviation. Design feature: HD - larger gauge buttons. DGR - double (overlapping) gauge row. Only from 8".
