The Indian tribal and hilly people have traditionally developed organic and natural products to manage diabetes and to live healthy and longer. Dia areca is the product of tribal medicinal knowledge and is thoroughly subjected to clinical trials and tests on par with CISM, Govt of India norms. According to the clinical trial, average percentage of control among diabetic people is 71.81 within the age group between 25 to 55. On the other hand, it is 64.58 percent among the category between 65 and 75. Average duration of diabetes history is 9.4 years for all age groups. Whereas, it is 5.3 years among 25 and 55 years age group and 15.5 years among above 55 years age group.
