Mode of Action
Chetak controls sucking pests by its contact, systemic and Tran-laminar action. Consequently, it gives better control of broad spectrum of insects. Chetak attacks insects on four fronts:
1.Antifeedant.
2. Growth Regulatory
3. Oviposition Deterrent
4. Repellent
Chetak acts on nervous system and electron transport functions of adult and nymph of sucking pests. Chetak kills nymph as they emerge from eggs, which are laid before the spray of Chetak. Female pests stop laying eggs immediately after coming in contact with Chetak. Chetak spray repels numerous sucking pest species. Certain sucking pests find the taste and smell unpleasant and stop feeding. Chetak is very useful in IPM (Integrated Pest Management) and IRM (Insecticide Resistance Management).
