Grades :- Depending on the shape, size and color of the kernel, they are graded into white or scorched wholes, pieces, splits, butts etc. There are 33 different grades of Cashew Nuts of which only 26 grades are commercially available and exported. They are:
Note : - NLSG denotes: Next Lower Size Grade. NLG denotes: Next Lower Grade.
Wholes - White Wholes-W180, W210, W240, W320, W450 , W500
(W180 is the ' King of Cashew '. They large in size and hence expensive.
W210 is what is popularly known as 'Jumbo' nuts.)
Scorched Wholes - Sw, Sw180, Sw210, Sw240, Sw320, Sw450, Sw500, Ssw (Scorched Wholes Seconds)
Dessert Wholes - Dw
