Battery Charger

The Battery Charger consist of a Float Rectifier, a Float cum Boost Charger, Control and Supervisory Circuit and a voltage dropping device. Float rectifier has at its input double wound step down transformer followed by 3-phase half controlled full wave bridge. Output of bridge is filtered through LC circuits and passed on to load terminal. The controller ensures that load receives perfectly regulated output voltage against load and line variations. The FCBC when operates simultaneously with float rectifier, charges the batteries in either float or boost mode. The charging mode being selected automatically. There is a provision for manual boost charging. The filtering circuit ensures that the ripple contents is limited to less than 3.
