Description
The parking complex can be situated underground / above the ground. The building for the parking structure is made of concrete and needs to be as per the design of the parking systems manufacturer to accommodate all the electro-mechanical components needed to operate theAutomatic Multilevel Parking System. Different levels in the Parking Complex can be of a different heights (1.80 m - 2.20 m) to accommodate cars of varying heights - compact cars, SUV's, Vans, etc and achieve maximum volume efficiency.
The Entrance and Exit area for parking can be situated either at the ground level or on the first basement level depending upon the design and layout of the parking structure as well as the commercial space. There can be multiple entry / exit points or rooms in a large parking complex so that there is never a long queue of users waiting to park their cars. Each entry / exit room has an Elevator on which the user drives in and parks their car.
The Automatic Multilevel Parking System consists of multiple high-speed elevators and multiple high-speed shuttles. A car is taken by an Elevator to a particular level where there is a vacant parking slot and then transferred onto a Shuttle operating at that particular level. The Shuttle then transports the car and transfers it into a vacant parking slot.
Parking Operation in a fully automatic parking complex:-
a)There would be an entrance automatic safety barrier and a ticketing machine when the user drives in before entering into the entry level of the parking system. The user is then identified as either a permanent or a public user and accordingly a ticket shall be issued at the entrance barrier. All permanent users are given a magnetic inductive chip to access the system.
b)The car in the entry /exit room is centered on the elevator platform through a centering device, and the dimensions of the car are then taken through a laser scanning device to measure the length, width,and height of the car.
