Description
Clients are offered a wide array of Arcomediate MIO (Epoxy based Intermediate MIO Coating), which is a two component poly-amide. It is is a cured high solid epoxy coating, specially formulated to enhance the anti-corrosive properties of the coating and to further extend the life of the protective coating. It can be used as top coating as well as intermediate coat to suit tropical surroundings.
It has a lamellar micaceous iron oxide as the primary corrosion inhibitive pigment. These flakes of micaceous iron oxide align in a parallel manner to the substrate surface. This produces a barner or shield of overlapping plates. This alignment enhances protection by offering the following:
- Increased inter-coat adhesion
- Reduced erosion rates
- Barrier protection
- Ultraviolet (UV) light absorption
- Extended life of protective coating
- Increased mechanicals chemical properties
