Description
Amorphous Silicais specially produced product from Diatomite when mixed with cement it replaces the cement by 10% by using only 3% of Amorphous Silica without affecting the strength.
Diatomite fillers are composed of hydrated amorphous silica and are essentially inert. One exception is that the natural uncalcined grades are extremely reactive to alkalies. Several uses have been made of this property, it's high reactivity has been used to control deleterious effect occurring when high alkalie portland céments are combine with reactive aggregates such as lime stone.
