2,4D Acid Tech. (2,4 Dichloro Phenoxyacetic Acid) is a technical product of 2,4D Sodium Salt, which is employed in the preparation of Herbicidal formulations for control of weeds. The material shall be in the form of a white or light coloured crystalline powder with slight phenolic odour. This technical product is the major raw material for the preparation of 2,4D Amine Salt SL, 2,4D Ethyl Ester, 2,4D Isobutyl Ester, 2,4D Iso octail Ester etc.
2,4D Dimethylamine Salt is a pre and post emergence phenoxy herbicide extensively used all over the world to control weeds. This herbicide is a result of active reaction between 2,4D Acid Tech. with Dimethylamine. This product is an unavoidable weedicide to eradicate weeds from the dry harvests. It is most effective in the fields of Wheat, Maize, Oats etc.
Commercial Formulation
Formulation type : EC, SL, SP, GR.
Mode of action : Selective systemic herbicide. Salts are readily absorbed by routes, whilst esters are readily absorbed by foliage. Translocation occurs with accumulation, principally at the meristematic regions of shoots and roots. Acts as growth of inhibitor.
